When viewed from the name of the Pesisir Selatan, which will be imagined in our minds of course, only white sand and deep blue sea. Moreover, if it were not for the Pesisir Selatan District is a coastal area in the coastal areas of West Sumatra Province. But who would have thought, was the district located in the southern of Ranah Minang also holds amazing natural charm than the beach and the sea. One is Timbulun Waterfall, its Kampuang Painan East, Nagari Painan, IV Jurai Sub-District.

The location is not far from the center of Painan City, only about 4 kilometers, at a cost of Rp 5,000 if ride a motorcycle taxi. Access road to Timbulun Waterfall also not so difficult. From the guard post at the entrance location, after paying an entrance fee of Rp 5.000/people, within walking distance of 500 meters track Batang Timbulun (River). The road to the location of the waterfall has been cemented by the government to facilitate the visitors. On the way, we are treated to the beauty of nature in the form of steep cliffs, rocky hills is perfect for sport climbing. Wild monkeys in the hills also add charm to the beauty seen in this location.

Timbulun Waterfall has seven levels of waterfalls source, so it is also known as the Pincuran 7 Tingkat Waterfall (Seven Levels Pincuran Waterfall). Each level has its own beauty of shapes and different pools. At the first level waterfall, will be found a rather large pool in the middle, very suitable for bathing.

On the second level is rather sloping waterfall and thundered in sidelines rocks. Here will be found also a beautiful pool, where all climbing and basically consists of rocks formed by nature. This pool is most visited by tourists to take a bath. Moreover, to achieve it is not too difficult.

While on the third level, perpendicular waterfall with a height of about 15 meters. Here also are enough deep water pool slightly greenish color. What's the third level is a bit quiet, because it was quite far and high. In addition, to achieve it also had to cross streams waterfalls are quite heavy.
However, third level waterfall has a charm compared to the waterfall of first or second level. Because in this often created a rainbow in between the dense trees and lush forests, due to the rush of water that streamed from this waterfall. Timbulun Waterfall is tipped in Kerinci Seblat National Park (TNKS). If it continues to rise to the top of the hill, it will go to the Alahan Panjang region, one of the areas in Solok Selatan District. The water of this waterfall and then flows into the Batang Pinang Gadang River and Batang Pinang Ketek River flanking the Painan City. Furthermore, empties into the Indian Ocean at the Painan Bay.
