As a coastal area on the edge of the Indian Ocean, Pesisir Selatan District were not only has maritime attractions. Still there are many other natural attractions in the area that are in the southern region of West Sumatra Province. Who would have thought, was the Pesisir Selatan District also holds amazing natural charm than the beach and the sea, such as the waterfall.

One of the attractions of the famous waterfalls in the Pesisir Selatan District is Bayang Sani Waterfall. The waterfall located in Nagari Koto Baru, Bayang Sub-District, Pesisir Selatan District. The location is about 20 kilometers from Painan City, or about 60 kilometers from Padang City.

For the location of Bayang Sani Waterfall, very easy to reach as it is only about 500 meters from the roadside. Besides, in the Bayang Utara Sub-District also Batang Puluik Waterfall, precisely located in Gunung Jantan (Male Mount), Nagari Puluik-Puluik.

There is also Timbulun Waterfall, located in Painan Timur, Nagari Painan, IV Jurai Sub-District. The location is not far from the center of Painan City, the capital of the Pesisir Selatan District, only about 4 kilometers. Then Lumpo Waterfall in Limau Gadang Village, also IV Jurai Sub-District. To reach this waterfall had to walk about 4 hours to the hills of Kerinci Seblat National Park.

Furthermore there is Pelangai Gadang Waterfall, located about 30 kilometers from Balai Selasa, the capital of Ranah Pesisir District, or about 60 kilometers from Painan City to the south. Also there is Sungai Liku Waterfall, which is about 10 kilometers before Balai Selasa, if coming from the Painan City.
