Dubbed a Million Enchantment State, Pesisir Selatan District does not only have a marine tourism. There are many other attractions in the area that are in the southern region of West Sumatra Province. There's the root bridge in Nagari Puluik-Puluik and Nagari Bayang Janiah in the Bayang Utara Sub-District, there are also plenty of attractions waterfalls in the Pesisir Selatan District. Among them famous is Bayang Sani Waterfall, Pelangai Gadang Waterfall and Timbulun Waterfall.

Langkisau Festival is a tourism event held every year by the Government of the Pesisir Selatan District, West Sumatra Province. In this annual event, held various activities that combine sport and arts and culture, with the aim to promote the potential of tourism in the Pesisir Selatan District.

Panasahan Port is the only port in the Pesisir Selatan District, precisely located in the District IV Jurai. From the Painan City, located about 5 kilometers to the south. The port was built in 2002 and completed in 2008.

Standing on top of Langkisau Hill, we will enjoy the many spectacular views. In the south, look Painan Bay flanked by foot of Langkisau Hill and Biawak Hill. Ocean Indonesia landscape with clusters of small islands that will be more beautiful when the emergence of a soothing sunset orange.

Glanced toward the north, there Salido Beach that extends from the foot of Langkisau Hill to Nagari Salido. A beautiful white sandy beaches of the geographical contours of Nagari Salido. The beach is a landing site for athletes paragliding who flight from Langkisau Hill.

As a coastal area on the edge of the Indian Ocean, Pesisir Selatan District were not only has maritime attractions. Still there are many other natural attractions in the area that are in the southern region of West Sumatra Province. Who would have thought, was the Pesisir Selatan District also holds amazing natural charm than the beach and the sea, such as the waterfall.

Short. That's the main advantage of Cingkuak Island as one of the locations of maritime tourism in the Pesisir Selatan District, West Sumatra Province. The distance is about 500 meters from the mainland of Sumatra Island in Carocok Beach region, IV Jurai Sub-District, Pesisir Selatan District. A swimmer will not be difficult to cross the straits of calm to the island.

Painan City now has two locations Free Wifi Hotspot for the internet which has been active since of 03 November 2012. Free Wifi Hotspot is a collaboration between the Ministry of Communication and Information through BP3TI (Balai Penyedian dan Pengelola Pembiayaan Telekomunikasi dan Informatika) and Departments of Transportation, Communication and Information of Pesisir Selatan District, in order to hold a internet public access services to KPU/USO (Kewajiban Pelayanan Universal/Universal Service Obligation).

Bayang Utara is a sub-district in the Pesisir Selatan District, West Sumatra Province. Previously Bayang Utara is part of the Bayang Sub-District, before the split in 2004. This area is about about 75 kilometers from the Padang City direction south to Painan City, the capital of the Pesisir Selatan District.

To increase tourist visits, one of the efforts is to prepare star hotels. This can be done by investors. Because, local budgets limited to build the tourism facilities.

Vice Regent of Pesisir Selatan Editiawarman, Pesisir Selatan District is currently in dire need of the presence of star hotels to support tourism. Some lodging places in the district is only budget hotels class or like the local inns (homestead), to serve guests who come and stay tour both from within and outside the country.

Attraction of Carocok Beach is located not far from the center of Painan City, the capital of Pesisir Selatan District. Riding motorcycles, motor tricycles or wagon (bendi, in Minangkabau language) from market of Painan, only about 5 minutes at the cost Rp5,000/person.

To enter the area attractions of Carocok Beach was enough to pay a fee of Rp2,000. A number of water games can also be enjoyed on the Carocok Beach, such as banana boats and boat tours. Carocok Beach faced with two islands, namely Batu Kareta Island and Cingkuak Island.
