Presence Star Hotels Needed in Pesisir Selatan

To increase tourist visits, one of the efforts is to prepare star hotels. This can be done by investors. Because, local budgets limited to build the tourism facilities.

Vice Regent of Pesisir Selatan Editiawarman, Pesisir Selatan District is currently in dire need of the presence of star hotels to support tourism. Some lodging places in the district is only budget hotels class or like the local inns (homestead), to serve guests who come and stay tour both from within and outside the country.

"We welcome investors interested to investing in the hospitality. Due to the existence of this star hotels is much needed as the increasing flow of tourist visits to the Pesisir Selatan District," Editiawarman said as quoted by the Singgalang Daily, Tuesday (05/02/2013).

Pesisir Selatan District Government will facilitate and provide maximum opportunities for investors who invest to build star hotels. Because the government has not been able built star hotels with the existing budget.

Told Editiawarman, Pesisir Selatan District is one of the tourist destinations in the West Sumatra Province. Owned tourism potential is quite large and promising future. Moreover, later supported by the availability of facilities and infrastructure, it will be significant increase in traffic. The development of the tourism sector began to be felt by the high number of visits from year to year.

While the attraction of most visited is Carocok Beach and Langkisau Hill in Painan. The attractions located in the capital of district was a mainstay and major tourist destination. Other attractions that interested of tourist is Cubadak Island, located in Koto XI Tarusan Sub-District. Cubadak Island has its own facility run by the private sector. The crowd was majority foreign tourists. Then there is the attraction like Root Bridge, Bayang Sani Waterfall, Pasir Putih Beach in Kambang and Taratak Indah Hill, is also frequently visited by tourists, especially on Eid holidays.
