The Mandeh tourist area located in Koto XI Tarusan Sub-District, Pesisir Selatan District, directly bounded by the Padang City. An area of 18,000 hectares is only 56 kilometers from Padang and takes about 56 minutes. Mandeh Resort entrance can be reached by sea and land. The nearest road course road trip through Nagari Sungai Pinang or through Nagari Carocok, Tarusan.

There will be many amazing sights along the way to Mandeh Resort comprising seven villages in these three nagari. This location is referred to as Mandeh Resort because one of the villages in this region called Mandeh Village, located in the central part of the Tarusan Bay. Tarusan Bay quite gentle and not choppy, because there are dozens of small islands around it, so that bay looks like a stunning lake with small ripples on the sea surface.

Among the small islands in the Tarusan Bay that is Bintangor Island, Marak Island, Ular (Snake) Island, Nyamuk (Mosquito) Island and Pagang Island, which circular area on the north side Mandeh Resort. While in front of the Tarusan Bay there Teraju Island, Setan Ketek (Devil's Small) Island, Sironjong Ketek Island, Sironjong Gadang Island, and the island is famous Cubadak Island.

The Mandeh Resort attractions was long known in the national and international level, especially with the presence of an international resort managed by an Italian citizen on the Cubadak Island. Resort developed by Mr. Nanni is known as Cubadak Paradiso. In addition, the Mandeh Resort has also become a major destination of the national maritime tourism sector policy, with Biak and Bunaken.

Cubadak Island has an area of 705 hectares is located to the west of the Mandeh Village. Cubadak Island has a very beautiful natural scenery with white sand clean. Privileged Cubadak Island is in the vicinity, there are several bays, rocks and headlands. So that, European tourists who had come to the island dubbed as "The Paradise of the South".
