Panasahan Port is the only port in the Pesisir Selatan District, precisely located in the District IV Jurai. From the Painan City, located about 5 kilometers to the south. The port was built in 2002 and completed in 2008.

The distance is about 500 meters from the mainland of Sumatra Island in Carocok Beach region, IV Jurai Sub-District, Pesisir Selatan District. Attraction of Carocok Beach is located not far from the center of Painan City, the capital of Pesisir Selatan District. Riding motorcycles, motor tricycles or wagon (bendi, in Minangkabau language) from market of Painan, only about 5 minutes at the cost Rp5,000/person.

To enter the area attractions of Carocok Beach was enough to pay a fee of Rp2,000. A number of water games can also be enjoyed on the Carocok Beach, such as banana boats and boat tours. Carocok Beach faced with two islands, namely Batu Kareta Island and Cingkuak Island.

One of the beaches attractions in the Pesisir Selatan District which not widely known by tourists is teh Sungai Nipah Beach. The white sandy beach is located in the Batang Kapas Sub-District, right on the edge of the road, about 30 minutes from Painan, the capital of Pesisir Selatan District.

Perhaps not many know about Pesisir Selatan, a small district in southern of Minangkabau, West Sumatra. So far, people only know about Padang and Bukittinggi as a tourist destination in West Sumatra. Though the Pesisir Selatan District also has many interesting attractions.
