Langkisau Hill in the Pesisir Selatan District, West Sumatra. To reach this location, visitors can travel from the Padang City to Painan City, the capital of the Pesisir Selatan District.

Travel time from Padang to Painan about two hours,
as quoted by Kompas.com, Thursday (17/01/2013). While from Painan to Langkisau Hill very close, only about 15 minutes by road. So, if you come from outside the Sumatra Island, then you can enter through the Minangkabau International Airport in the Padang City.

The journey to this hill alone is impressive. From the city center of Painan to the Langkisau Hill, travel through winding streets and shady trees on either side. Occasional shade trees invisible and appears only in the form of stunning panoramic sea far below there.

Reached the parking lot, just walk up the stairs. Just for a moment, just a few steps and I reached the top of hill at an altitude of 400 meters. Panorama near the parking lot alone is mesmerizing.

  1. Thanks for share this post I also share with you something hope you like my post By far the biggest impact we can have on global warming is to reduce our consumption. There are dozens of ways which have significant impact without really affecting our lifestyles. These include everything from switching off unneeded lights to car-pooling. We can cut down considerably on waste if we use things more than once.
    Especially packaging and containers – we must do away with single-servings and introduce reusable containers. Additionally, many items we throw away could be given away or resold, to reduce the reliance of others on new goods. Thanks
