Conscious Tourism Photo Contest 2011

MINISTRY of Culture and Tourism (Kemenbudpar) through the Directorate General of Tourism Destination Development held back Conscious Tourism Photo Contest 2011 with the theme "The Role of Civil Society in Promoting Literacy Through Tourism in Destinations Tourism Sapta Pesona Application".

Director of Community Development of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Bakrie said the charm of the natural beauty of Indonesia is very attractive for the attractions for the photo.

"The photo competition activity is expected to further increase public awareness in applying beads Sapta Pesona (safe,
orderly, clean, cool, beautiful, friendly, and memories)," Bakrie said in Jakarta, Thursday (9/6/2011), as reported Pos Kota.
In addition, said Bakrie, the best photos of the art works of the photographer in the photo contest was also expected to inform and disseminate public role in the development of tourism.

"The work of the best photos will be included in the nomination race champion and is on display at the photo exhibition at the Mall Artha Gading on 22-24 July," said Bakrie. Bakrie expect, the fans and the community throughout Indonesia photographic participate informing tourist destinations in each region by sending photographs.

The work was later assessed the judges like, Sigit Pramono (expert photography), Arbain Rambey (Kompas journalist), Darwis Triadi (School of Photography), Hilda Sabri (the mass media), and Bambang Wijanarko (Budpar Photography Community).

Sigit Pramono, expert photography, adding, through conscious tourism photo contest this is expected to increase the number of tourist arrivals and domestic.

Hilda Sabri added that conscious tourism photo contest is free of charge and
open to the public. Number of photos of participants is limited a maximum of 5 images, and sent to the Secretariat of the Competition Committee, Sapta Pesona Building Floor 4, no later than June 24, 2011.
